evan rutter

Head of Baseball Operations, Pitching Prospect Program, Coach & Trainer 

Evan is a 2011 graduate of Klein High School in Klein, Texas. He was a starting third baseman, earning first team all-district honors as a Jr. and pitched as a Senior earning first team all-state honors. After high school, Evan attended Rice University under head coach Wayne Graham. He was a pitcher that unfortunately suffered an injury the 2nd week into his junior season missing all but the last game of the year. In that game, he was able to show an incredible comeback pitching a shut down 9th inning. Evan was forced to sit out his senior year while he completed his degree in Sports Management.

In the summers of 2012 and 2013 Evan played for the Brewster Whitecaps as part of the Cape Cod Collegiate League. He pitched 49 innings, struck out 53 and only walked 8 batters. Following his freshman summer, Evan was named one of the top prospects in the Cape Cod League by Perfect Game.

Evan also played summer ball in the California Collegiate League for the Neptune Beach Pearl in 2014 and 2015. He was named to the California Collegiate League All Star Team and was also named to the All-League Team by managers.

Evan enrolled at Tulane University in the Fall of 2015 where he was a pitcher on the Green Wave baseball team coached by David Pierce. In Spring of 2016 he suffered a UCL injury two weeks before the start of the season and underwent Tommy John surgery that Spring. During the 2017 season, Evan was named the Assistant Pitching Coach for Tulane. While coaching, he was able to complete his master's degree in Homeland Security. 

Evan keeps baseball fun and truly loves the game. He is humble, honest and dedicated to helping train athletes and coach them to their full potential. Evan thrives seeing players improve to meet their goals and helps keep them grounded while keeping the game simple. 

Evan is Rapsodo hitting and pitching certified. 


corey ray

Coach & Trainer 

Corey is a 2011 graduate of Klein High School in Klein, Texas where he played baseball for all four years. He was a starting pitcher for Texas A&M University for three years and obtained a degree in Sports Management from A&M. 

In 2014 Corey was drafted into the MLB as a 5th round draft pick by the Kansas City Royals. He was part of the Kansas City Royals Organization (Double A) for five years, organizing pitching camps. 

Corey enjoys coaching and training athletes, breaking down the fundamentals of the game and pushing them beyond their limits. He can share his experiences and knowledge with athletes today to help them follow the right path for success. 


CODY Young

Assistant Coach & Trainer 

Cody is still developing as a ball player himself however he loves working with kids and sharing the knowledge he has in this sport.


Cody has been playing baseball since he was 3 years old and loves the game. He played all four years at Tomball High School and played 1st base, outfield and was a left-handed pitcher. Cody was awarded a full baseball scholarship to Kansas Wesleyan University after high school. Due to unforeseen health issues with a family member, Cody had to come home from college to help his family during these times.


Rivalry is excited for him to have this experience and the ability to work with us during these times and can't to cheer him on at KWU upon his return. 

Kevin roliard

Coach & Trainer 

Kevin is a native of Spring, Texas, and a graduate of Klein High School where he played baseball for all four years. He was a 2016 Rawlings-Perfect Game Honorable Mention All-American his senior year of high school and chosen by MLB scouts for the 2015 Area Code Showcase in California on the Texas Rangers team.


He grew up playing travel ball in the area for the Banditos Baseball Club, Twelve Baseball Academy, and the Houston Hurricanes. As a right-handed pitcher, Kevin received baseball scholarships from Alvin Community College and then McNeese University in Lake Charles where he graduated with a Bachelor of General Studies Degree in Behavioral Sciences and Minor in Sociology. The McNeese Cowboys won the Southland Conference Championship his senior year and received a bid to the NCAA college playoffs.


Kevin has been coaching youth baseball camps for several years and loves to teach the fundamentals of playing ball as well as the skills to play ball at the next level. He is excited to share his baseball knowledge with the next generation of all-stars.



Facility Operations, Pitching Prospect Program & Pitching Coach

Nick, a native Houstonian, graduated from Katy High School in 2007 after helping lead the Tigers to a combined 77-7 record in his final two prep seasons, including a 39-2 mark when Katy advanced to the Texas 5A State Championship Game. Pitching and playing first base, Nick was named to the First Team All-District 18-5A Team as a junior and senior, and claimed First Team All-State honors as a senior.


After high school, Nick attended Tulane University as a scholarship baseball athlete pitching for the Green Wave all four years and earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Appearing in twenty-three games as a Freshman, Nick earned Conference USA All-Freshman Team honors. In 2010, as a junior, Nick earned Second Team All-Conference USA honors ranking among the conference leaders in appearances (T-4th), saves (T-4th), and wins (T-8th) as Tulane’s closer. As a senior in 2011, Nick earned First Team All-Conference USA accolades while ranking 18th nationally in saves. Nick finished his career at Tulane ranking second All-Time in both Tulane and Conference USA history in saves (31).


In the summer of 2009, Nick was named the 16th best pro prospect after his performance with the Team USA College National Team in winning a Gold Medal at the World Baseball Challenge. Nick tossed 14.2 innings out of the bullpen without allowing a run, allowing just two hits and seven baserunners while holding opponents to a .045 batting average. In the summer of 2008, Nick played for the McKinney Marshals of the Texas Collegiate League, earning a spot in the leagues All-Star game.


After his playing career, Nick entered the workforce in Houston within sales and business development roles. Leaving the corporate landscape in 2019, Nick ventured into the entrepreneurial world to open a franchise business in The Woodlands. Leveraging his experience in business along with his passion for baseball, Nick is excited to join Rivalry and help create a brand and environment that shapes the next generation both on and off the field. Nick is married to his college sweetheart, Megan, who was also a scholarship athlete at Tulane playing basketball for the Green Wave. Nick and Megan have two daughters, Isabella and Mia.

Nick is Rapsodo Pitching, Specialist, and Biomechanist certified. 


Zachariah Lemond

Coach & Trainer

Zachariah was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and graduated from Waltrip High School where he played baseball for all 4 years pitching as well as playing the infield. In his Junior year, he was offered a full-ride scholarship to Rice University to pitch for them. He attended Rice University from 2011-2014 earning all-American honors and getting drafted by the San Diego Padres in the third round. He then spent six years playing professional baseball pitching with the San Diego Padres and Miami Marlins. Between his professional experience, Zechariah also played overseas in the Australian baseball league. 

Zechariah enjoys using his knowledge of strength training, arm care, and overall pitching know-how to help upcoming athletes grow to their full potential. 


deleon boyd

Coach & Trainer

Deleon is a native from Spring, Texas and a 2010 graduate of Klein High School. Deleon played baseball for the Klein Bearkats for 4 years under Coach Barry Smith, where he was a pitcher, third baseman, and designated hitter. He was a member of the 2010 Klein team that blazed their way to the 2010 5A State Championship Tournament.  

Deleon attended Prairie View A&M University on a baseball scholarship and earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 2014. As a member of the Prairie View A&M University Baseball team for 4 years, DeLeon was an integral part of the pitching squad. As a standout pitcher, DeLeon was named Freshman Baseball Athlete of the year in 2011 and helped the Panthers as they won the 2012 SWAC Championship as well as the 2013 SWAC Conference finalists.

TY Broussard

Coach & Trainer

Ty played College Basketball at Arlington Baptist University and graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor's in Exercise Sports Science.

He fell in love with strength training and working out athletes of all sports to help them accomplish their goals & dreams. Ty believes that strength training can be the difference in an athletes success at whatever level they strive to compete in.

Ty will be leading the Rivalry Athlete Performance classes, small group, and private training to help athletes reach their full potential.
